Why My Style is Unique?

My personal training style may be very different to other personal trainers. I have spent the last 10 years focusing on how to treat clients conditions through Myotherapy, Remedial Massage, corrective exercise and functional training whilst battling with my own degenerative and soft tissue dysfunctions. My energy for PT is spent on helping you reset, recalibrate and work specifically on your individual needs and goals.

The last thing you want is to just get pummelled in the gym doing harsh exercises on your body that won’t help you or your condition and may even exacerbate it. After studying hard to perfect my craft, I qualified as as an FTI Master Functional Trainer, which means I focus on restoring many functional movements that our bodies were designed for but have forgotten how to do through sedentary lifestyles, working long hours in the office and through soft tissue injuries.

Clear goal setting, Mobility, Flexibility and restoring optimal movement through conditioning are important facets in my training. Programming to address your primary concerns is essential.

The Process

My process per session focuses on:

  • Mindset:
    how are you today
  • Warm up / Mobilise and Release:
    Weak muscles that are switched off or lazy need to be activated. We also need to tone down the muscles that are overworking, doing jobs they shouldn't be doing to allow our bodies to start firing muscles that should be actively working (here we are priming the body for the conditioning phase). We might wake up the core with some easy core drills, so it too is ready for the conditioning phase to follow.
  • Conditioning Phase:
    Working particular muscle groups through a range of exercises depending on your goals and the new habits we are trying to form.
  • Cool Down / Myofascial Release / Stretching / Mobilisations:
    Soft tissue drills, foam rollers trigger balls, resistance bands may all be used here, again, depending on what your body requires from day to day.If you’re ready to take the first step to being in control and taking back ownership of your body reach out today!
